Mountain Lake // Do All Things With Love

As previously mentioned, I have loved backpacking since I was young. This year for 4th of July instead of doing fireworks/shenanigans I found some friends in the area who wanted to go backpacking and we went out for a three-day trip in Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe. It was beautiful! Also, it was challenging, mosquito-ridden, delicious, windy, desolate and fun. Exactly what I needed.

Backpacking the Beartooth Plateau

I need wilderness in my life like I need oxygen. It’s been like this since my first real taste of the wilderness at the tender young age of 16. It was a two-week high alpine backpacking course with Outward Bound.  The trip changed how I perceived the world at the time.
