I’m late posting this week because I am super busy right now trying to get my thesis finished up, as well as showing our house 150 times this week (not really, it just feels like that much..) and trying to keep everything else together.

Anyways, I promise this will be quick (and easy). A favorite recipe from family friends:

 

 

Refrigerator Pickles
8 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
1 cup thinly sliced onions

Mix together:
2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon celery seed

Pour liquid over cucumbers and onions. Add dill if desired. Put in a tightly covered container. Make sure that the sugar is dissolved. The pickles are ready in 3 days and last at least a year.

Remember, keep refrigerated!
